Perfect For My Needs

I've been a CERT member for 5 years, and I've wanted a better vest than I was originally issued for about 4.5 of those years. This vest (CERT 004) meets all of my needs--yes, every single one!--and then some...I wish I'd known about it 5 years ago. The workmanship is stellar, the design is exceptionally well thought out down to the smallest detail, and the materials used are clearly heavy-duty and extra-durable. Bravo Zulu (as we sailors say) to Rob and his team at The Vest Guy for an awesome product. By the way, for those of you wondering if it's worth the price, I will add that you get what you pay for. No, it's not cheap...but then, it's not cheap, either, if you get my drift. I don't buy cheap tools & gear, since I'd rather invest in something that will last at least as long as I will--and this CERT vest qualifies: I expect this to be the last one I ever need.

Extremely high quality workmanship!

Extremely high quality workmanship! I ordered some of the custom features and all were done exactly as I ordered. Fellow CERT members who wear the simpler day glow vests like the looks of the CERT 004. When we talk about price, I tell them my first goal is to always have with me what I need for a good CERT response. This vest may be a more spendy than others, but I believe it is very much worth the price! I ordered mine with additional pockets and I can carry quite a bit without having backpack. The vest does a great job as part of my overall CERT response system (clothing, vest, backpack and 72 hour kits) If you\'re interested, I can send you a spreadsheet that shows how I organize everything. (It's a work in progress, so please no flaming!)
